About this programme
COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is an organization that provides funding for initiatives and innovations within the science and technology fields. Their mission is to help contribute to the growing network of ideas and peer connections between researchers across Europe.
The research networks they help to form are called “COST Actions,” and allow researchers of all disciplines to pursue a topic for 4 years. The COST Actions can be within any science or technology fields and are founded after the review of proposals submitted during the COST Open Calls.
There are many participation options within COST Actions because researchers are allowed to join or participate after the networks have already started. Researchers can join an already existing COST Action and, depending on the Action, participate in workshops, conferences, training, and other opportunities provided by the coordinator of the individual Action. Researchers can also pursue their own COST Action by submitting a proposal during a COST Open Call.
