The next call for MSCA Doctoral Networks will open for submissions as of 30 May with a deadline to apply by 28 November 2023. This call will dedicate € 434.8 million to fund over 130 projects in all scientific fields and the training and skills development of 1600 doctoral candidates.
This call will fund doctoral programs implemented by international partnerships of organizations from different sectors (including universities, research centers and infrastructures, companies, SMEs, the public sector, NGOs, museums, etc.) across Europe and beyond. Besides regular doctorates, the Commission provides specific incentives to set up Industrial Doctorates, which train researchers and develop their skills outside academia, in particular in industry, businesses, and the public sector, and Joint Doctorates, which offer integrated training programs leading to joint or multiple degrees.
Doctoral Networks expose researchers to the academic and non-academic sectors and offer them research training, as well as transferable skills and competencies relevant to innovation and long-term employability. They also benefit participating organizations by supporting excellent doctoral programs, which allow them to attract talent, boost their global visibility, and foster their international links and cross-fertilization with other sectors.
