As the Horizon Europe Mission Ocean Call deadline approaches in September 2023, potential applicants from Kosovo and elsewhere are encouraged to consider citizen participation requirements in their project proposals. Citizen engagement is a key aspect of the EU Mission: Restore Our Ocean and Waters By 2030 (Mission Ocean), and as such, project proposals must be aligned with these targets to be considered for funding.
To help potential applicants design their proposals in alignment with the citizen engagement targets of Mission Ocean, PREP4BLUE is offering a webinar series titled “Planning for Citizen Participation in Mission Ocean & Waters” in May and June. The series consists of five one-hour sessions designed to be bite-sized, targeted sessions that will equip the audience with key information and knowledge of where/how to access more details or expertise.
The webinar series is aimed primarily at anyone applying for Mission Ocean funding under Horizon Europe. However, it will also interest current Mission-funded projects and those working on citizen engagement in marine and freshwater-related activities across the NGO, industry, research, community, citizen science groups, and local government sectors.
